What's so good about him?
Cahill has played 27 Premier League games for Bolton this season, which is the same as Ledley King, Younes Kaboul, Sebatsien Bassong and Jonathan Woodgate put together. We're crying out for a centre-back who is consistent in both form and availability.
He won Bolton's best newcomer for the 2007-08 season, after arriving in the January 2008 window, followed by the club's player of the year award the next season. He's scored 11 goals since arriving at Bolton. Doubts have been raised over whether he's good enough on the ball for a top side.
What do the press say?

"It's no good having one ball player and one stopper. Cahill is good, but I've got my doubts. " Mark Lawrenson, Mirrorfootball.co.uk
"With his age, Gary is only going to get better. I beilieve he could play for any top team in world football." Owen Coyle
What are the chances?
Bolton seem to be resigned to losing Cahill, probably this summer but interest is high; Arsenal reportedly came close in January, falling down over a £20m price tag, which might be too high for us as well.

Club: Ipswich Town
Age: 17
Rumoured price: £15m

What's so good about him?
It's hard to see him as anything other than a good prospect at the moment and I haven't seen that much of Ipswich lately but he has racked up 51 senior appearances already as well as a cap for the England Under-21s.
He is Ipswich's youngest-ever player, making his debut at just 16 years and 11 days. He's scored 5 goals this season but they've all come since the turn of the year, so he seems to be improving by the week, culminating in a hat-trick in the 6-0 win over Doncaster on February 15.
What do the press say?

"Wickham is one of the brightest prospects outside the top flight." Skysports.com
"One of the greatest goals I've ever seen at Portman Road." Ex-Ipswich player Kevin Beattie.
What are the chances?
Despite the fact that Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle are all sniffing around, Wickham has just signed a new contract to keep him at Ipswich until 2013. However, he has a clause in his contract allowing him to discuss terms with any club that meets a certain valuation.
